  • Ask friends and family

  • Post in local Facebook groups for recommendations

  • Search Google and review websites

Reach out

  • Contact landscapers and note how long it takes for them to get back to you

  • Book appointments and get a feel for the business

  • Ask about their timelines

  • Ask about other jobs they have done

  • Discuss all the aspects of your project

Compare quotes

  • It is vital that you compare 'apples to apples'. Often when quoting different companies may include or exclude items so many sure your quotes are compared correctly.

  • How did you feel about the company representative, did they make you feel at ease with the project?

  • Check licenses and insurance

  • Check feedback about the business and references

Contracts

Make sure you know both your and their expectations for payment and have this in a written agreement.
